
VP/Director - M&A Transaction Management
About the role:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Vice President or Director to join our M&A transaction management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end execution of mid-market transactions (with a particular focus on sell-side deals), ensuring exceptional client outcomes, process excellence, risk management, and coordination among internal and external stakeholders.
Main aspects of the role include:
· Lead and manage the execution of M&A transactions from deal mandate through to closing.
· Coordinate with internal teams including origination, sector coverage, legal, compliance, finance, and risk.
· Act as the central point of contact for clients, legal counsel, accountants, and other external advisors.
· Oversee transaction documentation, including NDAs, Investment Memorandums, Financial Models, Buyers Lists, Term Sheets, SPAs, etc.
· Manage data room setup and due diligence processes.
· Drive transaction timetables and ensure alignment of key milestones.
· Provide senior-level input on deal structuring, regulatory implications, and commercial considerations.
· Maintain high standards of process control, documentation, and audit readiness.
· Identify and mitigate execution risks proactively.
· Mentor, supervise and train junior team members.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or legal qualifications preferred.
· Significant experience in M&A transaction execution within investment banking, corporate development, or a Big Four advisory firm. Minimum of 5+ years for VP level or 7+ years for director level
· Strong understanding of M&A structures and processes, legal documentation, and implications of different project outcomes for buyers and sellers.
· Proven track record of operating at a C-Level
· Exceptional project management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Whilst not required, the ideal candidate would also have sector expertise in Wealth Management, Financial Services and/or Professional Services.
